HTML Tracking code as a counter

The tracking code you placed on your pages can be used to show a counter statistic. In order to use the tracking code to display a value, you must check the box "visible" in the User Profile. If this check box is unchecked, the tracking code will not display a counter anywhere on your site. This overrides the per page settings.

<script>showme='y'; st='js'</script>

This line in your tracking code controls the visibility of the code on the page where it is used. If you want the code to be hidden, change this line to showme='n'. This allows you to control the visibility on a per-page basis. That is, show the counter on some pages, keep it hidden on others.

The "st" setting has two possibilities:  st='js' will show the code as text. This will allow you to apply your site styles to the output. If you place this code within an element displaying verdana font, the counter will also be in verdana.

Changing to st='img' will show the code exactly as you set it in the User Profile settings.
